We are excited to announce that plans for permanent lights on Lincoln 2 are moving forward! Over the last 6 months we have made meaningful progress:
- We received more than 600 online endorsements in support of this project
- The Board of Selectman unanimously approved our proposal
- Core soil samples were drilled and foundation designs are being finalized
- We have already secured 20% of our goal through early pledges!
Now, the real work begins—securing the remaining funds to ensure the project’s completion.
Within the next 2 weeks, we will formally launch our fundraising campaign and corresponding project website. Until then, please contact Tom Shiple at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have time to become more involved, have fundraising suggestions or simply want to learn more.
Having had the benefit of the temporary lights these past 2 years, we can’t imagine running our growing program without illuminated turf fields. In addition to affording us greater scheduling flexibility, the proposed permanent lights have the added benefits of being safer, of higher quality, easier to maintain and more environmentally friendly. We hope we can count on your continued support as we work to raise awareness and funds to “light up Lincoln!”
