Hi Coaches,
It’s amazing that another season is around the corner, but that’s the reality. First and foremost, thank you for volunteering to coach a team this Spring. The service that you and the other coaches provide LUSC with is so important for the success of our program.
I wanted to make you aware of three important coaching events this spring:

I’d encourage all coaches to try to attend the Coaches Meeting if at all possible. We will be distributing coaching aids as well as team equipment at this meeting and share many valuable insights.
Field conditions permitting our field permit begins on 3/25 with pro practices beginning on 4/1.

- LUSC 3rd Grade Soccer Coaching Course
Where: Fiske Elementary School
When: Saturday March 30th
Time: 12:00pm to 4:00pm
In 3rd grade, players and coaches transition to a larger field with numerous rules. This transition to 7v7 soccer presents new challenges to players and coaches alike. This course aims to give coaches the best tools and a head start in making that transition while providing in-depth insight into practice planning, long-term player development, and best practices for coaches in terms of communication with players and families over the course of a season.
Although the course is geared to our current and next year’s (Fall 2019) 3rd grade coaches, many of the topics are relevant to any coach and thus all LUSC coaches are invited to attend (with priority given to U8 and U9 coaches if the class is oversubscribed).
