Dear LUSC Family,
We hope that you and yours are well have enjoyed a wonderful season of Spring soccer with LUSC. As in past years, we ask that you consider donating your used but still useable soccer gear to economically disadvantaged youth. Words cannot express our gratitude to the LUSC community for its incredible support of our past efforts.
This year we are partnering with the local Boston chapter of a charity called Soccer Without Borders. Soccer Without Borders is a U.S. based charity that uses soccer as a vehicle to improve the lives of children who live in economically difficult conditions around this world. This year’s donation drive will support programming for refugee and immigrant communities right here in the Greater Boston area. As you know, many of these communities have borne the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic and so are in particular need of our help.
This year we are looking for donations of:
- Soccer cleats
- Soccer balls, all sizes
- Shin guards
- Soccer socks
- Soccer shorts
- Goalie gloves
- Soccer training equipment such as pinnies, portable goals, cones, etc.
Please note that because this year’s donations will be distributed locally, we prefer not to accept donations of LUSC player jerseys.
Our deadline for the donation drive is SUNDAY, JULY 18, 2021. Please drop off your items at 66 Ledgelawn Avenue in Lexington. Items may be left either directly on the front porch or in the big barrel to the left of the garage door.
