Hi Families,
LUSC is pleased to announce that we will be evaluating players interested in specializing (playing at least half of each game) in the goal keeper position on Wednesday, May 28th, at Center Track field. The data from the goal keeping evaluation will be sent to the Division Director to compliment the recently concluded LUSC evaluation. A positive goalie evaluation may move a player up a team, but would not move a player downward. Only players interested in committing to the goalie position should attend the goalie evaluation. This is not a drop-in clinic, but an evaluation.
5/28 Schedule:
5:45 to 6:40pm: All rising 5th and 6th grade keepers (Boys and Girls U11/U12)
6:45 to 7:40pm- All rising 7th and 8th grade keepers (Boys and Girls U14)
The Goal Keeping Instructors for the evening will be Peter Simonini and Sydney Kahan.
About Peter and Sydney:
Peter Simonini: Former New England Revolution Special Instructor & Goalie Coach, NE Soccer Hall of Fame, Professional Keeper, Collegiate Coach for 20 plus seasons.
Sydney Kahan: Former Goalie Coach at Assumption University, Tufts University and Brandeis. Sydney played semi-professionally with the Rhode Island Reds FC in the WPSL.
Peter and Sydney will run the goalies through a series of exercises while evaluators assess the keepers in several areas.
