Hi Coaches,
It’s amazing that another season is around the corner, but that’s the reality. First and foremost, thank you for volunteering to coach a team this Spring. The service that you, and the other coaches, provide LUSC with is so important for the success of our program. I wanted to make you aware of the upcoming LUSC Coaches Meeting, announce a new Coaching Course specifically designed toward meeting the challenges of Coaching 3rd Grade soccer, and announce the Model Coaching Clinics Schedule. I’d encourage all coaches to try to attend the Coaches Meeting if at all possible. We have many new coaching aids to share with you.
Field conditions permitting our field permit begins on 3/28 with pro practices beginning on 4/4.

The meeting will include discussion surrounding referee issues, changes US Soccer is mandating for the coming year, as well as general coaching philosophies of the club.

*New* Coaching 3rd Grade Soccer Course
LUSC recognizes that with the transition to the larger field, the introduction of numerous rules to the game and the increased time commitment, the transition to 6v6 soccer presents many challenges not only for our players, but also for our coaches.
Although the course is geared to our current and next year’s (Fall 2016) 3rd grade coaches, many of the topics are relevant to any coach and thus all LUSC coaches are invited to attend (with priority given to U8 and U9 coaches if the class is oversubscribed).
