SUNDAY AFTERNOON “STREET SOCCER”

What is “Street Soccer”? Street soccer is simply “pick-up” games. Games will be played in a gym, not on the street!

Focus: Let them play! Escape the cold winter days of New England while exercising and having fun with friends.

Why street soccer? The idea behind street soccer is to provide the kids the freedom to play soccer games in a supervised yet unstructured environment.  The goal is to encourage them to be creative and take ownership of their game.  The games will be played with 3 to 5 players on a side.  This will allow players to maximize their touches on the ball and provide them with numerous opportunities to make decisions.  Games will be 12 to 15 minute long, and then the supervisor will remix the teams and start up a new game.

Note: There will be no coaching, just adult supervision.

Dates: January 4, 11, 18, 25 February 1
Location: Lexington High School Field House
Cost: $65.00 per child

Schedule:

12:00 to 1:00pm – Girls 1st – 4th Grade
1:00 to 2:00pm – Kindergarten
2:00 to 3:00pm – Boys 1st and 2nd Grade
3:00 to 4:00pm – Boys 3rd and 4th Grade
4:00 to 5:00pm – Coed 5th and 6th Grade
